For many people, the Bernese Oberland is a holiday destination. For me, Romano Kitsao, it is home – and that is exactly what I want to share with my guests. As a local tour guide, I accompany people from all over the world through Spiez. For me, it is not about rushing from one sight to the next. What I find far more fascinating are the stories behind the places, the little details and the chance to truly savour the experience.
My tours combine nature with regional highlights. How about a morning tour through Bonstetten Park, where we celebrate the sunrise with fresh croissants and hot coffee from a Bialetti pot? Those who prefer a more active way to discover the region can join me on a walk through the Spiez vineyards, passing distinctive natural landmarks such as the Katzenstein and continuing up to the castle – rounded off with a delicious aperitif featuring Spiez wine and snacks. I also offer an evening tour over the Strättlighügel, passing the castle ruins and offering beautiful views of Lake Thun before ending with an aperitif and local wine.
Every experience is relaxed and personal. To make sure everyone feels at ease, the tour content can easily be translated into ten languages and listened to on a smartphone. I look forward to showing you the Bernese Oberland as I know it myself: authentic, welcoming and close to nature.
